Primary sources first

Every story is checked against the original document before publication: official gazettes, Brazil's Federal Revenue, the Central Bank, carrier circulars, port authority notices.

Confirmed and unconfirmed, kept apart

Stories include a "What we know — and what we don't" block. Assumptions are never presented as facts.

Dated sources

Each story lists its sources with publication and access dates.

Images

Photos of specific events are real, licensed records. AI-generated images only illustrate general topics and are labelled "AI-generated image · illustrative".

Corrections
